Mark your calendars! The annual US 12 Heritage Trail Garage Sales will be from August 12 to 14. This is Michigan’s longest garage sale, from Saline, MI (near Ann Arbor) to New Buffalo, MI. Great bargains can be found at homes, farms and businesses. They will have a map of registered garage sales online a few days before the event begins.
Why do I live so far away?
Hey… I am not too far..! I never know where to start on these long garage sales. with my luck… the best deals will have been at the other end of the trail… or if I began half way through, I would have missed the best bargains, just a few towns back.

lucky me I live in Michigan! Also, I had a tag sale last weekend and this weekend, with vintage and crafts, it was all really nice stuff! My mom and I are now going to be part of a Antique crawl, the next one being in Octobe1r! I'll be posting about it closer to the time!
They post a map of registered garage sales a few days before so you can figure out the best place to start or finish. My son and I did it last year and there were so many sales in the 20 miles we went it took us all day just to do that. He was the real winner that day. Found some gorgeous early 20th century lamps that the owners said they couldn't get to work…..he had them re-wired and working in a few hours. 🙂
