The Great Carolina Vintage Sale 2

Hello all!

I am the owner of VaVaVintageFurniture in Eastern NC. I love the Etsy community and have found selling via the site to be a great experience. However, I would also like to grow my business in my local community. I recently attempted to join my local flea market and was deemed “not artsy or craftsy” enough for them. I pursued antique sales but my furniture isn’t quite old enough to fall into that category either. So, I thought, why not create a fair catering specifically to the vintage world?! I have a vision for a unique event with cute little stands with hanging banners that have each of our Etsy shops logos proudly displayed, with music of the ’40s,’50s, ’60s, 70’s and ’80s playing in the background, while vintage shoppers browse and buy the vintage items that we all love! I think this would be a great opportunity for us to develop a presence in the local community and perhaps promote some repeat business here in the Carolinas.

I have started a discussion on the Vesties Team page called “Calling all eastern NC Vesties.” I have also opened this up to anyone from SC who would like to make the journey. I would like to encourage any seller in the surrounding area to join the discussion and give suggestions. Right now, we don’t have a location, the latest possible location idea was Winston Salem, which would be a central spot in the state and apparently has a market for what we would be selling. I am pushing for an early November sale date. I am still open to anyones ideas, nothing is set in stone yet.

I have started to develop a contact list of all the sellers in the Carolinas who are interested in participating if you would like to be added please email me at vava.vintage@yahoo.com

Thanks for your time and I hope you will join us for what is sure to be an amazing event! Also if you have a chance stop by my shop on Etsy.

What a great idea! Another reason I wish I lived in Carolina! I think you have the beginnings of a very successful event. If there are any fellow vintage Etsians in Ohio, let me know if you want to try this!
