Hello, fellow Vesties! Hope you’re all doing well! This summer, Mr. Apples and I were kind of hoping to slip away for a little vacation at some point… but with summer slowly and surely coming to a close, I’m not so sure it’s going to happen (all of those out-of-town weddings don’t count!). We’ve decided our lack of vacation this year just means we should plan ahead for an extra-special vacation next year! Which has me daydreaming about all sorts of different destinations…

This week’s winner’s shop, Crescent Thrift Shop, is full of all kinds of vintage treasures that only fuel my wanderlust further! Looking through Missy’s shop, I find myself dreaming of all sorts new surroundings – the streets of Paris, an elegant hotel room in some distant city, or a cabin in the woods… and maybe even dreaming about a different time altogether, when there was always time for family game night, chips and dip were served in fancy matching golden bowls, and ash trays were as pretty as they were practical.

So this week, I thought we could all let our imaginations whisk us off to a far-flung destination with the theme, ‘Different place, different time’. You don’t have to worry about air fare or time machines – just let your imagination take you anywhere you’d like! Pick a city or country you long to visit, a decade you’d love to experience firsthand, or a memory from your past – it’s all up to you! Just let your imagination be your guide!
But before you get out your maps and travel brochures, there are a few rules to follow:
The challenge starts right… NOW! And it runs through Sunday night – the entry thread will be closed early Monday morning, so get ’em in by then!
Please make sure your treasury follows the theme ‘Different place, different time’.
It is important that you include (6) Vestie team members, and try to include some of the new members! Use the sidebar on the blog for a list of team shops. New members can be found in the New Team Member Section of the Team Member Page.
– All sixteen squares must be filled… and they must still be filled on Monday when the judge is making his or her decision. Please double-check your treasury Sunday night to make sure everything’s where you left it.
– Don’t include any items from your own shop.
– Put a link to the blog post in the comments of your treasury. This helps other people find the challenge and enter!
