I am Pamela Dent. I started Papillon Vintage Shop with my daughter Taylor. I am an interior designer consultant designing hospitality projects, resorts, hotels, mostly internationally. Taylor is a college student in the Portland, Oregon area. She shops in the Northwest for PVS sending many interesting items home to be listed. I started wearing and collecting vintage clothing in the 60s as a kid living in New York. My daughter developed an interest in vintage about 5 years ago. Together we decided to turn our love of vintage and our collections into an enterprise to sell what we love and collect. Papillon Vintage Shop reflects our eclectic tastes in clothing and collectibles. Shopping is the most fun, the thrill of the hunt. Never knowing what you’ll find to sell. I am always searching for something special. Whenever I travel I shop for PVS.
We also sell at a local flea market Topanga Vintage Market, here in Woodland Hills, CA. We’re there the 4th Sunday of each month.
My favorite era for vintage clothing is the 40s.I grew up watching all the MGM and Warner Brothers movies from that era. The dresses with the lovely tailored detailing, great suits, and gorgeous gowns! I melt every time I see a beautiful dress from that era. I have a few in my collection, not for sale!
My favorite item in the shop right now is a black marble desk set including two bookends and an ashtray pen combo. Very clean lines & masculine. I have also started a collection on Pendleton blankets which will be coming soon.
Getting to work with your daughter with vintage as a common love, what could be better? – judygovintage

It's great to see a Mother + daughter team and a generational love of things of old. 🙂 I quite concur about the beauty of the 40's and favoring it as a decade!
