Welcome to my vintage shop, Fineoldthings…the first place I head to with morning coffee. I realized a few years ago I could not pass up an estate sale or resale shop. Unique items from the past were intriguing & pretty soon my home seemed to fill up with those wonderful “finds.” Since I already knew etsy through my Handmade shop Expressions123, the thought of putting together a vintage shop was perfect! I had enough items to get started & loved the idea of ‘browsing’ second-hand stores for a purpose!
I liked how my Mom decorated our home back in the 50-60’s: a gray & pink theme in wallpaper & rugs, the kitchen soffits were hung with fruit & veggie plaques and the fine china came out only on occasion – my Ma loved her fancy serving bowls &
platters. Let’s not forget the collectibles, pretty vases, figurines and accessories for the Living Room’s cocktail table. To this day I gravitate toward that era when searching out vintage items for my shop.
This Royal Haeger Leaf bowl has been a favorite of mine since teenage years. It was displayed on our Dining Room table & decorated for every Season…good memories!
