How nice. I remember a similar wood apple on my dad’s Paul McCobb desk. I now have the desk; wish I could locate the apple.
Love that memory! I hope you find an apple like your Dad’s. 🙂
Yum — that looks delicious. Happy Apple Dumpling Day. Wishing everyone a great week

It is 39F this morning in sunny Montana; a great day to make apple dumplings 🙂 Thanks!
Cold this morning in Minnesota, too. Nothing like apple dumplings to warm us up!
Nothing says autumn like apples! Recipe sounds and looks yummy and easy. Just my speed! 🙂
The apple dumplings look delish and sort of easy. I may have to try my hand at these. The VSTY apple collection is perfect too!
I hope you get a chance to try this recipe – let us know how it turns out!
Yummy looking recipe and some delicious finds, too!
Delicious finds, for sure! The Vesties team has some of the best vintage!
JD/JayDee — Just noticed that you and an apple brand share the same name!
It’s pretty cool, isn’t it?! My name isn’t very common. As a kid, I always wanted a bike license plate with my name, but there wasn’t any available. So I was thrilled (as an adult) to find an apple brand through TheCollectibleChest with my name!
That recipe sounds delicious! Who would think to use Mountain Dew, but imagine it gives it a little zip! Thank you for featuring some of my items!
I love the JayDee apple label from your shop – I have it framed and it always makes me smile and think of you. 🙂
Happy Apple Dumpling Day! My mom makes the most delicious from scratch apple dumplings with a double recipe of cinnamon sauce, yumm, my mouth is watering just thinking about them! I love apples, especially a crisp juicy apple with lots of flavor.
Lovely, JD, thank you for saving the blog!
Mmmmmmmm, Apples! Love that Vintage apple ‘Treasury’!
