Monday means Match Game, a team challenge for Vesties to find a cool piece of vintage in their shop that matches the theme of the week
Here’s how it works:
- every other week a theme is posted on MONDAY
- you reply to the challenge post with ONE item from your shop (Etsy or your own site) and a few words about why you chose that item.
- at the end of the week, our own highly Selective Linda will create a collage with some of her favorite submissions.
The theme this week is wedding gifts, vintage style. Registry gifts from department stores are all well and good, but the most memorable gifts might be those with a true vintage pedigree show that you put some time and effort into finding just the thing. Sometimes the vintage item compliments something from the registry like a classic vintage cookbook with a requested stockpot. Sometimes it stands alone, like a pair of vintage travel plates from the couple’s home state or a classic pair of vintage silver-plate candlesticks.
This week’s challenge is to find a match in your shop that would delight the happy couple. Post one item from your shop that showcases that would be a thoughtful wedding gift and explain to our readers why you chose that particular piece of vintage.
Here’s some inspiration to get you started.
