Monday means Match Game, a team challenge for Vesties to find a cool piece of vintage in their shop that matches the theme of the week

Here’s how it works:

  • every other week a theme is posted on MONDAY
  • you reply to the challenge post with ONE item from your shop (Etsy or your own site) and a few words about why you chose that item.
  • at the end of the week, our own highly Selective Linda will create a collage with some of her favorite submissions.

It’s a well known fact that July is the best time to find and score vintage Christmas treasures because the early bird usually gets the worm. We vintage sellers are ferreting out the coolest holiday bits at hot, stuffy and dusty estate sales and we’re getting them listed before the warmth from the ride in the car trunk in the July sun has worn off.

This week’s challenge is to find a match in your shop that will make the Christmas early birds flap their winds with glee.  Post one item from your shop that shows your best Christmas style and explain to our readers why you chose that particular piece of vintage.

Here’s some inspiration to get you started. And if you need more than delicious Christmas vintage to get you in the mood, switch on the Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel and whip up some  holiday treats to put you in the mood…like Wood and Spoon’s delicious Sugar Cookie ice cream recipe  or lemon-lime creamy Grinch Punch from Southern Living.
