Here’s what Missy had to say:

“Let me tell you that it’s been such a thrilling week! I am so grateful to Adriana from LaBiblioteca for picking my treasury out of all the splendid ones created last week. I know I sure had a difficult time picking one this week. I think everyone was really inspired by the great theme ‘Different place, different time’. I added so many of these to my favorites! When I finally narrowed it down to my top two, I realized that as different as they were, both were created by Claire from Diane’s closet!

The winning treasury is ‘Fingertips like Memories’. It’s so chillingly beautiful! Every square is so thoughtful and interesting. Her treasury creates a haunting mood that makes me feel like we’ve turned the corner into fall. It’s never too early to think about Halloween, because it comes and goes before we know it!

Second place is another one of Claire’s creations, ‘Her heart was his, His heart was at sea’. This one is so fun, full of elements from the sea—natural and man-made.

Congratulations, Claire, on two artfully done treasuries!

The following are gorgeous and deserve mention:

‘room #9, Maison de Ville, August 1947’

Justin, you have captured the essence of Tennessee Williams’ New Orleans. As I evacuate for Hurricane Isaac in a few minutes, I hope New Orleans looks just like this when I return.

‘mon château d’or’

This one has a luxurious French feel.

‘girl with the pearl earring’

I can almost smell the wood and citrus in this love letter to Dutch culture.“

Thanks, Missy, for making such a tough decision! And thanks again to everyone who submitted a treasury!

Cheers,
Nikki
