Bring It Home: 1950’s Vintage Christmas

The 1950’s brought the colors of pink and black into popularity, and you wouldn’t think they’d work for Christmas, but in fact they do!

The secret is to replace the black with charcoal grey and use silver to lighten up the combination and add a festive sparkle.

While it may be difficult to find enough vintage pink decorations to fill a room, you can add to the look with non-holiday pink dishes, glassware, serving pieces, and even vases filled with mercury glass ornaments.

A few red accents here and there can keep the scheme from looking too girly.  Remember, to bring this look home successfully you’ll want to start with a room that is primarily white or pale, and add sparkle wherever you can!

Have you ever decorated a room in pink for Christmas?
