My shop is about my love of history, the curiosity of a mystery and inspired by the stories that the people tell. So often, I come across an item with no idea what it is or how it is used. To solve such mystery, I have to explore books, the web and talk to various people. At times I list an item and people pm me to tell me what it is and how it is used. (Which makes the mystery and solving it even more fun). My favorite part of my shop are my guests and the stories they tell. Stories about for example.. an item that was lost in a fire and found in my shop or an item that was inherit by a special person that was now broken and they were so glad to have found it in my shop.
I am a vintage seller that loves the history of a piece any piece any style any era. I am a curious person. I love lots of stuff. I enjoy having a broad interesting and historical shop. So I don’t place myself inside a specific era. I’m afraid I would miss some form of mystery that is just itching to be solved.
I have a lot of favorite items in my shop. I love my books, my service ware, my fun home décor, my Avon bottles but I think if I had to choose one it would be my Santa
This was one mystery I had no idea who created such a beautiful piece, when out of the blue, a person pm and tell me the story behind it. He told me how it was made, who made it and where this artists is today. I’m very attached to this piece. I’m a big fan of Santa and a huge fan of creative people.
The stories and those who share the stories alone make collecting vintage worthwhile! Add great design and durability, it becomes magical!- LOVE the cake carrier-judygovintage
