I live in Oregon with my husband, teenage son and 4 year old daughter. My day job is in Social Research but the whole family loves treasure hunting! We usually go to Estate Sales and Flea markets looking for lovelies to keep or to sell. As typical of most treasure collectors I enjoy the beauty and quality of old items as well as the stories they carry. I am a clutter free kind of home decorator so my shop is a perfect way to pass along some of the beautiful things I come across and supplement the family income in the process. It’s a lot of work, but a lot of fun too! It’s exciting to send these pieces onto the next chapter in their story.
It’s hard to pin down a favorite era but I am definitely drawn to items from the 20’s-40’s. I love the simple elegance, dark colors, and materials used in these times.
I think this is currently my favorite item. I have a bit of a weakness for chalk ware. She is just so darn cute and I love her colors. She is hanging on the wall in my kitchen until someone else falls in love with her.
Great post! Your store looks like my home!
Your items are way charming! It's always fun to live with something awhile before it finds its proper home!-judygovintage

A lovely shop, beautifully maintained and full of interesting things! And how nice that the whole family are in on the action- my brother and Dad are just as into 'old junk' as I am, so there's never any arguments about stopping the car!
